PR EUROPE: HANOVER: Kochs heads German PR roost

Klaus Kochs, director of corporate communications for Volkswagen, has been named PR Manager of the Year for 1996 by Germany’s PR Magazin. The jury included the magazine’s editorial team and past recipients of the award. Kocks, who was previously head of communications for gas supplier Ruhrgas, took up his post at Volkswagen last July. The award, which is in recognition of Kochs’ role in settling Volkswagen’s long running dispute with General Motors, will be presented by Volkswagen chairman Ferdinand Piech on 21 April.
