Some California dreaming pays off for Lewis

Lewis Communications, the UK hi-tech agency, has opened its first

overseas office in California and is set to expand further into Europe

over the coming months.

The company, which was set up in 1989, opens for business in San Diego

next week. The office will be staffed by director June Lewis and account

manager Morgan McLintoc who will report back to managing director Chris

Lewis in London.

Lewis explained that San Diego was an important centre for the hi-tech

industry and that a presence there would benefit clients both in Europe

and the US. ’The office will be a springboard for us to sell to US

technology companies who don’t want to deal with partner agencies in

Europe, but require one voice across the pond into European markets,’ he

said.

Representative offices are planned later this year in Paris and Munich

and will be run by two staff each reporting into London.
