DIARY: Hello-style profile is a shock for Trafford

Hello! will be quaking. First, rival magazine OK goes weekly and then the March @BN.COM. hits the streets. This four-page, A4 staff publication from Cable & Wireless Business Networks may lack the gloss of the celebrity mags but its full-page profile of Brigitte Trafford, C&W European communications manager, lacks none of that breathless sparkle.

Hello! will be quaking. First, rival magazine OK goes weekly and then

the March @BN.COM. hits the streets. This four-page, A4 staff

publication from Cable & Wireless Business Networks may lack the gloss

of the celebrity mags but its full-page profile of Brigitte Trafford,

C&W European communications manager, lacks none of that breathless

sparkle.

‘When not travelling around Europe’, we learn, ‘Brigitte can be found at

home in London enjoying time with her barrister husband Mark and her

six-year-old daughter Jessica.

‘France is the secret love of Brigitte’s life - no surprise when you

realise that she is half-French. Holidays are taken skiing in the

mountains or in Cannes, on the south coast, visiting family.

‘As to other leisure activities, much time has been spent in the

Trafford household finding a sport for all. Brigitte is a very

experienced horse rider having started at an early age and graduated to

competing cross-country, her husband Mark is an ex-county tennis

player.’

Brigitte is taking the exposure in good spirits, despite admitting that

she finds it a bit ‘cringeworthy’. She says: ‘I was shocked that they

wanted to do me at all. All the information is accurate, I do go skiing

and have a husband called Mark, but it is not really packaged the way

I’d like it.’
