PUBLIC SECTOR: Southern Arts combines information roles

Southern Arts, the arts development agency for central southern England, is seeking a communications officer. The post is a new one, combining the existing roles of information officer, held by Paul Clough, and press and PR officer, a part-time position held by Rachel Shimell. The new communications officer will be responsible for developing and implementing Southern Arts’ communications strategy, building relations with artists, funding bodies and the media. The post will report to deputy chief executive Stephen Boyce and work as a one-man PR operation.
