The Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) has appointed Jean-Pierre

Moser as head of its PR unit.

Moser joins the society next month after four years as PR manager at St

Mary’s NHS Trust, Paddington. He replaces Beverley Parkin, who was

promoted in November to be the first director of the society’s newly

formed public affairs directorate.

The society is the professional and governing body for Britain’s 42,000

pharmacists. Moser will be responsible for supporting and organising

training for press officers in the 140 local branches. He will also

co-ordinate the society’s bi-monthly consumer media campaigns. He has a

head office team of three.

’The restructuring was the result of a long-term strategic review,’ said

Parkin. ’Jean-Pierre’s role will be to review our public relations

strategy.’
