IN BRIEF: Briffa leaves BBC Online

Ed Briffa, launch controller of internet and interactive TV department, BBC Online and Interactive, has left the Corporation. He will not be directly replaced, but the BBC will appoint a director of internet service Online, who will be given a seat on the BBC Broadcast board. Until then head of Online Mark Frost will assume day-to-day editorial responsibility.
