IN BRIEF: Katz replaces Alton at Guardian

Ian Katz, currently internet editor at the Guardian, has been made features editor, replacing Roger Alton, the Observer’s new editor. He will continue to oversee the editorial content of the Guardian’s web sites as associate editor, new media. Meanwhile, Guardian assistant editor for foreign news, Paul Webster, has been appointed Alton’s deputy.
