DIARY: Will QBO loses its managing director to the promise of a catwalk career?

Following Matthew Freud’s admission that he yearns for a proper job (PR Week, 7 June) there were fears this week that Quentin Bell Organisation managing director Trevor Morris might also be about to throw in the PR towel - to take up male modelling.

Following Matthew Freud’s admission that he yearns for a proper job (PR

Week, 7 June) there were fears this week that Quentin Bell Organisation

managing director Trevor Morris might also be about to throw in the PR

towel - to take up male modelling.

Rumours flew after this picture of Morris was spotted in a little known

publication called Media Week.

However, David Owen-lookalike Morris assures me that he is not about to

take to the catwalk and that the photo was actually snapped five years

ago to accompany a press release about the educational benefits of

computers.

Morris, who was as surprised as anyone to see last week’s photograph,

recalls: ‘We needed to get a family picture very quickly. The kids were

available and because I was looking dad-like I was pulled in.’

Despite this explanation, I think Morris should still consider modelling

if he ever gives up his day job. For at the price Media Week charged the

Diary to use this dog-eared five-year-old press release shot, he too

could soon baulk at getting out of bed for less than dollars 10,000 a

day.
