BORDER LINES: DUSSELDORF - K&K launches second-string

Kohtes and Klewes Porter Novelli is expanding its PR family with a second-string agency, to be launched next month. The new addition comes from the merger of the Dusseldorf firm’s Pure Information PR and Deekeling and Fiebig. K&K bought a stake in D&F in December. The merged firm, Deekeling Kommunikation, will specialise in corporate, internal and marketing communications, as did D&F and Pure Information. It will have a workforce of 25 staff under managing partners Carsten Schmidt, Norbert Fiebig and Egbert Deekeling, and an estimated gross income of pounds 1.7 million in 1999. The agency will retain D&F clients, including the Deutsche Bank.
