PUBLIC SECTOR: Camden in hunt for communications chief

The London Borough of Camden has filled two senior roles in its newly-restructured communications department (PR Week 11 November, 1998). Both will report to an assistant CEO in charge of communications, who has yet to be recruited. Alison Withrington is caretaking the role. In April, Moira Whittle takes over as head of press. She is a journalist and currently deputy head of the London desk at the Press Association. David Cameron joins next month as head of publications from the National Council of Voluntary Organisations where he is publications manager. His remit includes internal communications and the council’s web site.
