US-based international agency Ketchum has appointed Tomaso Galli,

who heads the agency’s corporate relations practice across Europe, as

one of five new partners.

Galli is based in Milan and works with the corporate communications

heads based in the agency’s five European offices. He continues to

report to senior partner/international Jerry Olszewski and will be one

of 28 partners.

Olszewski said: ’We want to ensure that the individuals who are having

the greatest impact on our global business have a seat at the global

management table.’

The partners are charged with client development, identifying new

practice areas and services and planning for the strategic future of the

firm.

Galli started work in Ketchum’s Milan office in 1990 as general manager

and then moved to the agency’s London office as director of corporate

relations for Europe in 1995.

He returned to Milan at the beginning of 1998. His clients include

Federal Express and Dow Chemicals.

The other four new partners are all based in the US. They range from

managing directors of key offices, practice area specialists, or global

account managers. As a partnership group they report to six senior

partners, including Ketchum chief executive David Drobis and Olszewski.
