Hi-tech communications specialist Brodeur Worldwide has implemented

a restructure of its UK-based management team at Brodeur A Plus.

The agency has appointed UK managing director Mike Copland to oversee

its operations throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Over 250 people in 11 EMEA offices now report to Copland, compared with

just 75 from the London office prior to the restructure.

Brodeur, owned by US-based media giant Omnicom, bought A Plus last year,

and since then has been acquiring majority stakes in A Plus affiliates

in the EMEA region.

Brodeur has 25 affiliates world wide, 11 of which are in the EMEA

region.

The agency has acquired majority ownership of offices in Germany, the

Netherlands, Spain, and Italy and has wholly-owned offices throughout

the US and Australia.

Copland was promoted last week after seven years as UK managing

director. Stan Woods, who was Brodeur A Plus business development

manager since 1994, took over the role of UK managing director from

Copland.

Jonathan Simnett has moved from his role as human resources and training

director for the UK, which he held since 1994, to corporate development

director for EMEA. He is responsible for developing common structures

and practices for the agency’s offices throughout the region.

Copland said ’We will work with our colleagues throughout Europe to

develop an integrated global business. We are creating a new Brodeur.’
