Disneyland Paris has switched its UK PR account from Biss Lancaster

to BGB after scaling down its outsourced PR work.

Biss Lancaster was not among the four agencies which pitched for the

business. BGB will support Disneyland Paris’ in-house team of two which

is headed by Nicole Walsh, head of PR for UK and Ireland.

Walsh joined Disneyland Paris from Bell Pottinger Communications last

February and oversaw the review. She said: ’We have chosen a specialist

travel PR agency as that was where outside expertise was most

needed.’

BGB will provide represent Disneyland Paris across the UK and Ireland,

handling relationships with consumer, trade and fashion press and

broadcast PR. BGB managing director Bronwyn Gold Blyth said: ’Disney is

a superb brand and our work will be both strategic and tactical. It will

include media relations and event management.’

Biss Lancaster had worked for Disneyland Paris for five years including

large projects such as the theme park’s fifth birthday and ride

launches.

It continues to handle PR for separate Disney company Disney Stores.

Disneyland Paris attracted over 12 million visitors last year, of which

1.5 million were from the UK. Business has increased from a 1994 low of

8.8 million visitors.
