STOCKHOLM: Coca-Cola Sweden has hired Rikta Kommunikation to handle corporate and consumer PR in Sweden.

STOCKHOLM: Coca-Cola Sweden has hired Rikta Kommunikation to handle

corporate and consumer PR in Sweden.



Work started last week on the account, which was won without a

pitch.



PR has been handled in-house since incumbent agency Vox stopped working

with the drinks giant three months ago.



Rikta’s brief is to promote the company’s drink brands, including

Coca-Cola, Sprite and newly acquired Swedish market-leading still drink,

Mer.



The agency will also work to position Coca-Cola as a good corporate

citizen in terms of employment and environment policy.



The agency will promote the drinks through TV, radio and magazines. It

will also attempt to gain coverage for the current Coca-Cola Paradise

Island competition, which offers around pounds 3,000 for the winner to

spend on a holiday.



Employment practices and environmental track records of multinationals

are a sensitive issue for many Swedes.
