PUBLIC SECTOR: Corporate comms role created by police

Greater Manchester Police has created the new post assistant director of corporate communications following recommendations from an internal PR audit which was recently carried out by a body made up of senior police officers and public affairs director Colette Booth. The new post was created to improve both external and internal communications for the force and will report to Booth. The wide-ranging brief for the position includes strategic PR development and marketing strategies for the police as well as responsibility for the media relations department.
