Sky Television has hired PR agency Richard Dennis Associates to boost satellite dish sales in the run-up to the Christmas holiday.

satellite dish sales in the run-up to the Christmas holiday.



The two-month campaign, worth an estimated pounds 70,000 in fees with a

total budget of pounds 200,000, will target adults and children with the

aim of positioning Sky as the ‘ultimate Christmas present for all the

family’.



The seven-strong PR firm will work closely with Sky’s in-house publicity

and promotion department of 18 to ‘get Sky on the top of the most wanted

list to Santa’, said the department’s head of publicity, Raymond Jaffe.



Sky uses public relations agencies on a project basis. A six-month contract with Lynne Franks to launch its pounds 18m ‘No Turning Back’

campaign ended in January.



Dennis, former sports and entertainment director at Poole Edwards

Publicity, established RDA in January with two other staff.



Clients include promotional work for Manchester United FC, the World

Wrestling Federation and Harvey Goldsmith Entertainments.
