England and Wales Cricket Board bolsters PR team with three hires

The England and Wales Cricket Board has made three new senior appointments to strengthen its communications team based at Lord's Cricket Ground.

Rhian Evans, previously head of media at the Lawn Tennis Association, joins as media manager, first class cricket and will also be responsible for promoting the National Cricket Performance Centre at Loughborough and both the England Lions and England age-group teams.

In addition, Che Mangan, who was previously with The Football Association as media operations officer, has been appointed ECB accreditation manager.

Sarah Birch will shortly take up the post of media manager for the England Women's Team and non-first class cricket, having previously worked as ICC World T20 media manager for matches in Taunton this summer and before that at Geelong Football Club in Australia.

ECB head of corporate communications, Colin Gibson, said: 'Media interest in cricket continues to grow on the back of a hugely successful World T20 tournament in England this summer and the England team's Ashes triumph over Australia. We are delighted to have strengthened our team with three high-calibre appointments.'
