Appointment: Vero's Sujit Jasani

Jasani, one of PRWeek's 29 under 29 in 2007, joins Vero as a sports communications and sponsorship specialist. He moves to Vero from marketing agency Brand Faith.

Jasani's first job was to help support Rio de Janeiro's successful bid in Copenhagen to be the host city for the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Vero CEO Mike Lee said: ‘Sujit's dedicated sports event and brand experience will make him a valuable asset to the team and our clients.'

Vero has been in the headlines in recent weeks with a number of notable successes.

As well as playing a key role in Rio de Janeiro's Olympic triumph, the sports specialist has also worked on a successful campaign to include Rugby sevens at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

The International Olympic Committee's executive board confirmed last Friday that it had voted to include both Rugby sevens and golf on to the Olympics programme.
