Council aims to boost town with Go Barrhead! campaign, LG Comms on agency hunt.

East Renfrewshire Council has launched a brand identity for a sustainable travel project in the Scottish town of Barrhead. The new brand identity, 'Go Barrhead!', has been developed by the council's in-house PR service with design agency Arctic Creative, based in Glasgow. 'Go Barrhead!' will brand promotional material for individual projects across the town including personalised journey planners, community guides, posters and flyers.

LG Communications launches its latest reputation campaign this week with an invitation to agencies to pitch for the development work. LG Communications is looking for a partner to create a toolkit for promoting the reputation of local authorities. LG Communications secretary Alex Aiken is looking to receive proposals by 23 October.

Smarts has been appointed to handle the PR for 'My Future's in Falkirk', a public and private sector partnership between Falkirk Council, Scottish Enterprise, BP and INEOS, which aims to make the Falkirk area a better place to live, work, learn and invest. Smarts aims to raise awareness of 'My Future's in Falkirk' and its benefits. The key stakeholders include the local community, the wider area and local businesses.
