Moving the furniture at IPC



Jan Henderson has been named editor of IPC’s Woman & Home replacing

Orlando Murrin. Sally O’Sullivan, editor-in-chief of Ideal Home and

Homes & Ideas, will also assume the same role on Woman & Home. Katharine

Hadley, former Sunday Mirror woman’s editor, has been appointed editor

of IPC’s Country Homes & Interiors replacing Julia Watson who moves to

Homes & Gardens.



LNN and ISN get sported



London News Network and the Independent Sports Network are setting up a

commercial archive of sport on behalf of the ITV network. It will

provide material from ITV’s 25 years of archive material.



Dove takes off at Atlantic 252



Atlantic 252 has appointed Clare Dove as head of sponsorship and

promotions. She was previously client sales manager at Mills & Allen.



Satchell to head Bristol bureau



Claire Satchell has been appointed acting bureau chief for Channel One’s

Bristol operation, taking over from Adam Brown who is co-ordinating

Channel One’s launch in Liverpool.



Benjamin settles in London



CNN Financial News’ senior European correspondent Todd Benjamin has been

promoted to anchor/correspondent in London.



Drop in sales for IPC titles



Sales of 30 of IPC’s 48 titles have reported a year-on-year drop in the

first half of the year. Eva suffered one of the greatest falls with

sales down by 23 per cent. Men’s title Loaded increased sales by 87 per

cent.



BBC Mags to catch ’em young



BBC Magazines is to launch BBC Early Learning on 27 September. It is

aimed at children aged five to seven and their parents. BBC Magazines

recorded year-on-year increases in sales for all but one of its 19

titles for the first half of this year. Sales of Radio Times fell by 1.9

per cent, attributed to a cover price increase.



Life looks sweet for Sugar



Attic Futura’s Sugar is now the biggest-selling teen title with sales

up by 37.8 per cent to 361,764.
