Fox Kids and Saban unite PR efforts

Cable and satellite channel Fox Kids and Saban Entertainment, which makes children’s live action programme Power Rangers, have decided to combine their PR accounts.

Cable and satellite channel Fox Kids and Saban Entertainment, which

makes children’s live action programme Power Rangers, have decided to

combine their PR accounts.

Both businesses are owned by Fox Family Worldwide, a joint venture

between Rupert Murdoch’s Fox Broadcasting Company and Haim Saban’s Saban

Entertainment.

The companies saw pitches from four agencies, and a final pitch was held

this week between Peter Noble PR and Harrison Cowley. An appointment is

expected within days.

The agency will work to promote programmes to be broadcast on Fox Kids

and new programmes from Saban with existing and potential viewers. The

work with Saban will be designed to help boost its UK licensing and

merchandising business.

By publicising Saban programmes, the agency will help support existing

licensees and attract new ones.

The agency will work alongside Fox Kids’ PR and publicity head Katie

Bourne and Saban Entertainment UK managing director Jackie Ferguson.

PR for Fox Kids was previously handled by Firefly Communications, while

Saban retained Richard Dennis on a project basis.

Saban makes and acquires animated and live-action children’s TV

shows.

Fox Kids UK reaches more than one million children every month.
