On-line auction house QXL has hired Band and Brown to handle its consumer and corporate PR for fees of more than pounds 100,000 per annum. QXL, formed in 1997, auctions branded goods at a discount on high-street prices and allows the public to auction their own goods on-line. The agency will work with QXL communications director Alison Cabot to increase traffic to the site and help build the company’s industry profile.
