The German Stock Exchange has restructured its communications

function and taken on former Audi head of corporate affairs Norbert

Essing.

Essing takes on the new role of director of corporate communications at

the exchange. He will manage 35 staff across four communications

divisions - political relations, media relations, corporate advertising

and PR, and internal relations, which includes the company secretary

role.

He said that the board of directors decided to combine the management of

the three communications groups to ensure greater co-ordination. Essing

reports to Exchange CEO Werner Seifert.

The Exchange has worked with Burson-Marsteller on a project basis and is

reviewing whether to appoint a PR agency on a retained basis.
