Prime Communications has been hired to handle the UK media launch of the

David Lloyd Active Care brand and its Performance range.

The agency won the business, worth around pounds 200,000, with fees of

more than pounds 100,000, after a three-way pitch to Services Direct.

The company, which makes own brand skin-care products and toiletries

including ranges for Bhs and Harrods, is producing the line under

licence to former tennis star David Lloyd.

Prime will be supporting the April press launch of the range, which is

aimed at sportsmen and women, as well as providing on-going PR and

promotional support.

The campaign will feature athlete Tessa Sanderson, whose Olympic bid is

being sponsored by David Lloyd Active Care, and who has endorsed the

brand.
