Whiteoaks to enhance The Vitec Group.

The Vitec Group, a media company serving the broadcast, photographic and entertainment industries, has appointed Whiteoaks to enhance its image. The Farnham-based tech PR agency will work specifically with Vinten and Vinten Radamec, two brands in The Vitec Group's broadcast systems division.

V12 PR has been appointed by creative communications agency Inspire to raise awareness of its global sport networking websites Atthematch.com and Stadiumfrenzy.com. The media relations agency will use online and offline PR to target consumer and business trade magazines as part of the campaign.

Oriella PR Network, an alliance of international communications agencies formed by Brands2Life, has released results of The European Digital Journalism Survey 2009. The survey found that nearly 40 per cent of journalists have become more dependent on PR content owing to increased content requirements for online. Some 354 journalists were polled for the survey.

Fashion Union, a web-based clothing label, will launch this week supported by PR agency Mission Media UK. The agency has recruited celebrity style favourite Louise Redknapp as brand ambassador. The range, available on its website fashionunion.co.uk, will be aimed at those shoppers on a credit crunch budget.

Precise, the online, broadcast and social media monitoring provider, has released a metrics service. The initiative will enable the PR sector to gain insight into audience reach to understand the value of their online work. The service analyses online audience data in conjunction with online advertising rates, marking it with a value for each piece of coverage.
