Obama guru slams Labour

The man who masterminded Barack Obama's remarkable online presidential campaign has dismissed the Labour Party's digital strategy ahead of next year's general election.

Blue State Digital managing partner Thomas Gensemer told PRWeek that senior Labour figures were still unwilling to fully embrace digital campaigning.

'They have lacked senior-level buy-in ...,' said Gensemer, who added that it was probably too late now to rescue Labour's digital strategy. 'An unspoken secret of the Obama campaign is that the work started in 2005.'
