Jeremy Wyatt, Prudential Corporation’s former corporate

communications director, is tipped to land a top PR job at accountancy

firm Price Waterhouse.

Details of the job remain under wraps, but sources close to Price

Waterhouse say that Wyatt - who left Prudential in September - will take

on the new role of managing and co-ordinating the firm’s PR activities

across Europe.

He will be based in London and report to UK senior partner Ian

Brindle.

A partnership formed in 1865, Price Waterhouse is one of the world’s

’big six’ accountancy groups. Partnerships in each country operate

independently, although those in Europe were combined in 1988 under a

common management structure to ensure uniform investment, training and

professional standards.

Each partnership maintains its own internal communications staff or

external consultancy, but the level of PR activity varies from country

to country.

In Germany, for instance, accountants are barred from promoting

themselves.

Price Waterhouse is also set to appoint a new UK head of media relations

to replace Mike Hogan, who quit to join Shell International in August.
