And busy it must have been, particularly with all those calls about

communications director David Rigg’s 90 per cent pay increase. But then,

as the Camelot ad for the pounds 25k consumer PR manager and pounds 18k

corporate PR executive says, the communications team is ’constantly in

the front-line’.



One member of the team was spared from hands-on fire-fighting during

last week’s furore. Rigg, whose package rose from pounds 175,000 to

pounds 333,000 last year, was at his holiday home in France. According

to PR manager Lisa Bond, it was not an expensive holiday
