White goods company AEG has booked Marbles to promote its link with celebrity chef Raymond Blanc.

White goods company AEG has booked Marbles to promote its link with

celebrity chef Raymond Blanc.

The agency was hired to handle AEG’s consumer and trade PR after

pitching against New Media Group and incumbent KVO Associates. Marbles

will target females in the 35- to 50-year-old age group to raise the

company’s profile.

The pounds 100,000 budget campaign includes promoting AEG’s relationship

with Raymond Blanc.

’It’s not just an endorsement agreement - he’s working with us on the

products,’ said Lynn Hillman, head of marketing at AEG.

AEG is also supporting Blanc’s plans for a cookery school based at his

Oxfordshire restuarant, Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons. The domestic style

kitchen will be stocked with AEG products.

Marbles’ first task will be to support the launch of a new range of

laundry appliances, to trade over the next two weeks and to consumers in

the autumn.

’It’s a key win for us because we are keen to build the non hi-tech side

of the business,’ said Sue Beard, joint managing director of Marbles.
