Leading international condom brand Durex touts £200k brief

Number one global condom brand Durex is poised to hand out a lucrative consumer brief worth an estimated £200,000.

A pitch process is already under way, with at least three London agencies believed to have received briefs for the pan-European account.

One source involved in the process said the pitch focused on one of Durex's female product categories.

Durex currently works with a number of agencies in the UK, including Myriad PR, which handles the Durex Play range. Last year, the company hired McCann Erickson to run a social media campaign for female orgasm gel Play O (PRWeek, 11 November 2008).

A spokeswoman at Durex owner SSL International could neither deny nor confirm the review.
