BORDER LINES: WASHINGTON DC - F-H buys R Duffy Wall

Fleishman-Hillard has acquired lobbying firm R Duffy Wall and Associates (RDWA) to create a public affairs arm to rival those of the largest Washington agencies, Burson-Marsteller and Hill and Knowlton. Following the purchase, F-H now employs 50 lobbyists, bringing in a fee income of up to pounds 7.5 million a year. By comparison Hill and Knowlton employs around 50 public affairs staff. RDWA clients include satellite and telecommunications firm Comsat and mining company Peabody Coal. F-H chairman and chief executive John Graham said: ’Duffy Wall offers a superb strategic fit with our current operation.’
