Talk Loud to help Godzilla reconquer the video world

Polygram Filmed Entertainment’s low cost video division, 4 Front Video, has picked Talk Loud PR to handle the re-issue of seven Godzilla video titles. The agency was appointed following a three-way pitch.

video titles. The agency was appointed following a three-way pitch.



The campaign will focus on the cult appeal of the Japanese films and

target a broad spread of lifestyle, cult, horror, entertainment and

tabloid press. ’The audience ranges from the hardcore Godzilla fan to

the ’kitsch is cool’ youth market,’ said agency managing director Addie

Churchill.



In a separate move Columbia Tristar is due to release its would-be

summer blockbuster movie, Godzilla, on 17 July. Part of Talk Loud’s

brief will be to differentiate the re-released videos from the cinema

film.



Over 20 original Japanese Godzilla films were made, the first being

Godzilla, King of the Movie Monsters in 1954. The seven being re-issued

by 4 Front Video include Invasion of the Astro Monsters and Godzilla vs

Megalon.
