STOP PRESS: McKinney quits Scottish Labour Party

The director of communications for the Scottish Labour Party, Paul McKinney, resigned last week after only two months in the post, citing personal reasons as the cause of his departure. McKinney reported to Alex Rowley, General Secretary of the Scottish Labour Party. A spokesman for the party said there were no plans to replace McKinney as yet. Previously, McKinney was a producer on Scottish TV’s flagship news programme, Scotland Today.
