Charles Anson has been made the first head of communications for the European Broadcasting Union, the trade association for national broadcasters.

Charles Anson has been made the first head of communications for

the European Broadcasting Union, the trade association for national

broadcasters.



Anson joins the union from GrandMet, which last year merged with

Guinness to form conglomerate Diageo. The union’s 66 members include all

the main British terrestrial channels and its remit includes negotiating

broadcasting rights for events like the Olympic Games and the football

World Cup.
