They work in the same office all day, spend an hour talking on the

phone in the evening, and go shopping together at the weekends. And

sisters Eileen Cannon and Catherine Foster claim they never get sick of

each other.

Running the newly relaunched Foster Cannon (formerly Group Four

Marketing) together is something they instinctively knew was the right

thing to do.

Cannon had been running the firm for two years before they bought it

last July - the first time the sisters have worked together.

’We are practically telepathic,’ says Cannon. Foster agrees that they

have an uncanny ability to pick up where the other left off.

’There’s no tension or conflict,’ says Foster. ’We’re not competitive so

people can’t play us off each other.’

Staff say the sisters are very different and live up to their names.

Cannon is described as the ’gut reaction’ one, who fires off at a target

with all cannisters. Foster is the logical one who ’fosters’

relationships.

Foster claims clients seem to be intrigued by the sisters’ relationship,

and some people are wary of it. ’It does tend to be a bit non-stop,’

says Foster. She describes the husbands as being driven ’slightly

potty’, but says in the close knit family they come from all the

brothers-in-law get on too.
