PR EUROPE: DUBLIN: Rail body seeks northern exposure

Ireland’s state transport body Coras Iompar Eireann is hunting for a PR consultancy to promote the Ballymun Light Rail Transit project. Part of a planned light rail system for Dublin, the line will connect the city centre to the suburb of Ballymun to the north. Work on the link is due to commence in 2000 and will be financed by the European Union’s structural funds. The selected agency will explain the benefits of the line to the people of Ballymun and assist with the public consultation process for the planned route. PR for the main light rail programme is currently handled by Bill O’Herlihy Communications.
