On-line information service provider Europe Online UK, which launches
this month, has appointed DPA Corporate Communications to handle its
press and PR as part of a pounds 1 million marketing campaign.
The Guildford-based agency won the account last week after pitching
against incumbent agency Burson-Marsteller and Infopress.
Europe Online, which includes ATT and Pearson among its shareholders,
provides services such as business and financial news, arts and leisure
information and home shopping via the internet.
Chris Casburn, Europe Online sales and marketing director, said that the
PR push, which is intended to complement an on-going advertising and
direct mail campaign, would concentrate mainly on consumer media.
