The Ministry of Defence (MOD) is seeking an industry partner to support Army recruitment at every stage, from the initial marketing right through to when a recruit starts training. The other shortlisted consortia are Capita, G4S and VT.

The UK's armed forces need to enlist around 33,000 new regular and reserve recruits each year, including some 23,000 for the Army. The contract is due to be awarded in 2011 and will last for at least a decade.

The Prospector Group consortium also includes Serco, Logica and the other members of the AMV Group, to which Fishburn Hedges belongs.

Fishburn Hedges has had the MOD as a client since 2002.
