Gym brief for Borkowski

Virgin Active has chosen Borkowski as its retained consumer agency after a four-way pitch.

Borkowski beat Frank PR, Cake and incumbent Golden Goose PR to the account. It will manage a 24-hour press office, amplify the gym's advertising and marketing activity and run several campaigns.

The agency will position Virgin Active as the most innovative gym chain in the UK, with stories focusing on the launch of new equipment and classes.

Its first job will be to launch a gym at Twickenham Rugby Stadium. It will handle activity in September ahead of the 1 October opening.
