The film festival launched last year and uniquely does not use any cinemas.

Instead films are shown in unusual locations around Jersey including Mount Orgueil Castle, abandoned WWII tunnels and in the opera house.

Idea Generation will target the arts and culture, film and music media. It will also work closely with the Jersey Tourist Board and its retained agency McCluskeys International.

The festival takes place on 1 – 4 October. This year the festival will feature British Sea Power performing their soundtrack to the 1934 fisherman film Man of Aran, an Icelandic band performing to a classic silhouette fairytale from 1920s Germany and a screening of the latest Andrew Kotting film.
