Hill and Knowlton has promoted vice-president Vivian Lines to the
new position of chief operating officer for the Asia-Pacific region to
oversee the company’s continuing expansion. Lines, who was previously
responsible for five offices in Greater China, will now oversee the
company’s 14 regional offices employing around 200 staff.
Hill and Knowlton has opened two offices in the region since the
beginning of 1998 and plan to open three more in South Korea, the
Philippines and India - at least one of these by the end of 1999. Lines
will report to Asia Pacific vice-president Brian West.
