BORDER LINES: GENOA - HSL lands Porto Antico account

Italian integrated PR and advertising agency HSL has been hired to handle consumer PR for Porto Antico, the consortium which was founded to market the old port of Genoa as a cultural, conference and entertainment complex.

handle consumer PR for Porto Antico, the consortium which was founded to

market the old port of Genoa as a cultural, conference and entertainment

complex.



The port was redeveloped in 1992 to coincide with celebrations of

Columbus’ birth in Genoa 500 years previously. Since 1992, developers

have worked to attract museums, shops, a conference centre and cinemas

to the complex and are now keen to attract more visitors. HSL managing

director Marco Castagna said: ’The area is full of every kind of

attraction, we will be targeting everyone from families to businesses.’
