Granada Media, the broadcasting arm of leisure, catering and media

group Granada, has approached candidates to fill a new role representing

the division in Whitehall and Westminster.

Corporate affairs head Virginia Lee, who reports to Chris Hopson, is

recruiting a government relations manager as part of her team. Hopson

himself is due to vacate the post of corporate affairs director (PR

Week, 26 Febraury).

Lee is responsible for regulatory affairs, government relations,

internal communications and, as Granada is one of the largest companies

within the ITV network, ITV issues such as the BBC funding review.

Two weeks ago, she was given formal responsibility for corporate PR,

promoting the division to the media.
