Technology: Facebook loss for Bite

Bite Communications is reeling from the loss of another high-profile client after Facebook dropped the agency.

As reported last week on prweek.com (8 July), Facebook has brought in Nelson Bostock to support its UK PR activity.

The departure of Facebook comes shortly after Bite lost its account with Apple last month (PRWeek, 19 June).

Symantec UK also stopped using Bite for consumer PR earlier this year and a pitch is thought to be under way for its enterprise component, held by Bite. PR manager Abigail Lovell said the company was 'reviewing its options'.

However, the Next Fifteen agency has won business from Amadeus, Playfish and Global Crossing in recent weeks.
