BORDER LINES: LONDON: Sandpiper tackles Hill’s pet subject

Hill’s Pet Nutrition, the animal food subsidiary of Colgate Palmolive, has picked Sandpiper Communications to develop and co-ordinate a pan-European campaign. The programme, which is thought to be worth over pounds 200,000 in fees, will be run through the Euro RSCG International Communications network in France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxemburg, Germany and Denmark. The campaign will target vets, pet retailers and owners, and focus on communicating the importance of pet nutrition. Research carried out by Hill’s Pet Nutrition in 1996 revealed that 47 per cent of British cats, and 52 per cent of British dogs were overweight.
