Fleishman-Hillard Saunders has recruited Irish Independent

environment correspondent Tony O’Brien to boost its growing public

affairs division.

O’Brien will report to public affairs director Michael Parker, the

former secretary for the Progressive Democratic party in Ireland.

O’Brien, who starts at the agency next week, spent 10 years at the Irish

Independent, prior to which he worked on the Wexford People newspaper.

Agency managing director John Saunders said the expansion of the public

affairs team was a response to the agency’s growing client base.
