Flack: (SAVING) on expenses - Napa, Chiswick Moran Hotel, W4

Reviewer: Sally Firth, PR consultant, Firth Communications.

- What is it good for?

The sassy retro-chic feel and close proximity to London Heathrow means Napa is a useful en-route restaurant to grab a bite before tackling the onslaught of the airport.

- Signature dishes

The light but satisfying modern British menu has something for everyone, but the confit duck with rosti potato, seasonal vegetables and red wine sauce is one of the stars.

- Who's the boss?

The Moran Hotel is part of the family-run Moran Group. Wayne Dixon, formerly of Quaglino's, heads up the kitchen.

- Any tips?

Dress up and imagine you're back in the glam 70s. A real destination restaurant, the interiors wouldn't be out of place in The Avengers.

- What's the damage?

A fixed-priced menu costs £17.50 for two courses. Or during July take advantage of the 'Thank Flip its Friday' promotion. Dine with up to three friends, flip a coin and if you call correctly, eat for free. Otherwise there's a 25 per cent off weekday promotion.
