Jaguar calls on Kazoo to promote ’modern’ image

Luxury car brand Jaguar has appointed Kazoo Communications to exploit its artist and celebrity associations in the media.

Luxury car brand Jaguar has appointed Kazoo Communications to

exploit its artist and celebrity associations in the media.

The appointment was made this week and work began immediately in

preparation for Robbie Williams’ 28 August gig at Slane Castle,

Ireland.

Other artists performing at Slane Castle include the Happy Mondays and

Stereophonics. Jaguar will provide transport for the celebrities to and

from the festival site in its new, S-type saloons. Kazoo’s brief is to

win media coverage for the sponsorship in the national press and on

television.

It is the first time Jaguar has undertaken this sort of promotion. It

hopes the campaign will reinforce the brand as modern and

aspirational.

Sue Crowley, a director at Kazoo, will lead the account, reporting to

Jaguar’s head of communications. Further events are planned, but none

have yet been announced.

Entertainment and sponsorship agency KLP was hired by Jaguar to put the

deal together. Kazoo was approached to handle the media relations

following similar brand-related work, including the sponsorship of the

Spice Girls’ European tour by scooter manufacturer Aprilia last year.
