MEDIA BRIEFS: Curran joins Virgin as new head of music

Virgin Radio has recruited The Wireless Group’s (TWG) James Curran as its head of music. Curran was head of music for Scotland at TWG, overseeing Scot FM, 96.3 QFM and Wave 102, and prior to that was head of programming for five years at Scot FM. He replaces Carl Watts at Virgin who has left to pursue an internet venture in his native France.
