City & Corporate: Global agency in Nordic deal

Kreab Gavin Anderson is to acquire Norwegian agency 20/20 Communications as it looks to consolidate its position in the Nordic comms market.

As part of the move, Morten Woldsdal, managing director of 20/20 Communications, will become managing partner of the combined operation in Oslo, operating under the Kreab Gavin Anderson brand.

Richard Constant, president and CEO of Kreab Gavin Anderson, said: 'The current market is providing us with good opportunities to strengthen our global network and gain market share. In acquiring 20/20 Communications, we are doubling our business in Norway in a high-quality combination.'

20/20 focuses on financial, corporate and public affairs work. The new entity will employ 25 comms professionals. The partners of 20/20 - Woldsdal, Jan Erik Fane, Tor Ole Steinsland and Hege Nja Bjorkmann - will enter the partnership of Kreab Gavin Anderson. Woldsdal said: 'This is probably the largest merger in our industry in Norway. It prepares us extremely well to deal with the opportunities we see in the future.'
